So, GTA4 is here, thoughts ? reflections ?
I'd write more but im too busy crying, hugging my X-Box and thanking god for all his hard work.
Missions, violence, cars and debauchery aside, this game is aesthetically beautiful.
Its like two notches bellow large cup breasts beautiful.
And the gameplay *kisses fingers* Manefique !!! Ballisimo !!! Monta bella - Tooty Fruity !!!
And other innacurate multi-cultural expressions of glee and merryment which highlight and accentuate my fetish for ignorance.
Honestly, spread forth and purchase fair internet maidens !!!

| Well, anyone been playing/still playing this one?
I've got Mass Effect on loan for the weekend for a "try-out", and borrowing "Bully" as well as I've heard it's a bit of a laugh, but not worth a buy. You get to snog other guys in it for points. That doesn't seem right 
Thinking tho GTA4 is more of a buy one. Thinking about getting an official copy of Bioshock as well now that it's real cheap. Arrrgh not enough time.

| Hmm.........
After reading my opening post to this thread im kiiiiiiiiiind of regretting the fanfair.
The main game is as amazing as anything iv ever played, the physics are still the best out there, and its still the best looking game iv ever played.
However.
It has nowhere near the longevity of the previous instalments. After finishing the story mode im left driving round the city doing....... well......... not much to be honest. All i really do now is shoot and run people over, and jump out of helicopters, which is getting kinda old.
Hopefully the downloadable content fills in some of the gaps they have missed from San andrea and previous games. the last few GTA's have just had so much silly and fun stuff to do.
Im not too hopeful though.
Verdict ?
10/10 first time through, will end up under yer bed after that.
And Mass Effect is beautiful eh Sheepy ? Have that myself, but stopped playing it once Call of Duty 4 came out, i'll go back to it soon enough.
The scenery and backgrounds are awe-inspiring in that game.

| Great stuff. Still sounds worth a buy though.
I've got COD4 which I put to one side....well - you know - exams? Haven't picked it back up, I have been on COD2 though, I'm seriously thinking of just trading that one in on the grounds of "you can't do everything". The whole WW2 theme too just feels too "done it before". Hard to say, it's sorta boring me now.

| Yeah Sheepy, tell me about it, i felt like iv actually been in thet War with the amount of games on it.
Worst part is COD5, which is released this year goes back to world war 2 again.
Fukkin pain in the arse.

WW2 AGAIN!
I mean, yes it's a good subject for such a game - but how many games have covered it?
That's why COD4 got such rave reviews (And still does - loads of guys still "meet up" to play online on this one) because they dared to make it a modern scenario.
Guess really though they're limited - can't go too far back, because imagine if they went to something stupid like Napoleonic times - yes, grab that weapon, take 10 minutes to reload, don't forget the wadding...oh - didn't work because my gunpowder was wet. Nah, wouldn't work in a game.
Vietnam maybe, but there's American sensibilities, it isn't really going to happen.

| Its because of teh way the Call of Duty games have been developed.
Call of duty 1, 3 and 5 have or are being developed by treyarch (Who most people agree struggle to make a good game).
Call of duty 2, 4 and presumably 6 are developed by Infinity Ward. Dont ask me whay but thats the way its done.
Infinity ward refused to allow treyarch to copy the modern format as Infinity Ward made so much money, however for COD5, Infinity have allowed Treyarch to use their physics engine and multiplayer format from COD4.
So, it should be a damn good multiplayer game anyway. Also, 4 player online co-op mode for the main story sounds good.
